SIren calculates an observed position using the method of least squares as described in the nautial almanac and can perform running fixes. A maximum of six observations can be entered and stored. The app features a plotter that will allow you to enter up to eight sights, determine their reliability, exclude outlying values and calculate average values that can be exported to an observation. Sight data can also be stored. Siren is meant for people who primarily use the sun when they use their sextant and has a built-in almanac for the sun. Observed positions can be stored with their date and time of fix, making it possible to create a track record. The app offers extensive help in most screens.
